  • WELCOME!

Hello and thank you for stopping by my blog.

Here you will see what I am up to, I try and keep my blog updated with recent shoots that I have done or any exciting news I have.

As a photographer I am not big on words but prefer to convey myself through photographs. So please enjoy scrolling through my images.

The photo on the right is of myself with my family taken while we were on holiday a little while ago. I put the camera on a tripod and used the "timer" function to be able to be in the picture. I always try update our family photos as I know our kids are growing and changing so quickly.

Willson Family Photoshoot

This shoot was done towards the end of last year.  It was booked months in advance for the simple reason that the whole family were together for a brief time before work took some of them away again.  The kids were all so excited to see their Aunt and Uncle again so they made my job slightly challenging, but a challenge that I love to accept, knowing that I have a few tricks that usually work to achieve the results that I want to achieve.

Williams Newborn Photoshoot

I am so far behind on my blogging and I have got so many wonderful shoots to share with.  I have been managing to find the time to upload sneak peeks to Facebook but then not finding the time to upload them to my blog.

First up is a very special photoshoot for me.  I was lucky enough to be in Natal at the time that was needed to be able to capture this newborn shoot for a very special friend of mine. This little angel has the most caring big sisters and is going to be so protected by all of them.

Such a gorgeous family, inside and out.  Thank you for allowing me to capture such a special time in your lives.

Kaross Photoshoot 3

This was the second shoot we did in the village (you can see the first formal Kaross photoshoot here and the first photoshoot in the village here).  We were greeted by these ladies singing and dancing to us in their beautiful outfits.  Such a fun celebration and so wonderful to watch.  While the interviews were taking place I walked around to take photographs of their environment and all the ladies embroidering some beautiful items before taking some more formal portraits of all of them.  Before we left these lovely ladies so kindly served us lunch, a meal they made just for us.

This is Irma and Janine, such an inspiration, both of them!

Kaross Photoshoot 2

This was the second shoot I did with Kaross (the first shoot can be found here).  On this day we drove out into the villages of where some of the embroiders live.  We were wanting to capture them in their own environments while Irma interviewed the head of the household to find out all the details about their family life.

This was an amazing experience for me, I loved being able to capture this part of Kaross’s story and to meet these wonderful people, they were all so welcoming and friendly.  It was very difficult to narrow down the images to share as we got lots and lots of photographs, but hopefully from this selection you can have a small insight into their lives. The ladies embroider wherever and whenever they can and create the most beautiful pieces of artwork.
