This was the second shoot I did with Kaross (the first shoot can be found here). On this day we drove out into the villages of where some of the embroiders live. We were wanting to capture them in their own environments while Irma interviewed the head of the household to find out all the details about their family life.
This was an amazing experience for me, I loved being able to capture this part of Kaross’s story and to meet these wonderful people, they were all so welcoming and friendly. It was very difficult to narrow down the images to share as we got lots and lots of photographs, but hopefully from this selection you can have a small insight into their lives. The ladies embroider wherever and whenever they can and create the most beautiful pieces of artwork.
